The Story
AppMate Consulting started with Brad's deep background in automation consulting. For years, the work focused on helping businesses streamline their operations — connecting systems, eliminating manual processes, and building workflows that actually worked day after day.
When AI capabilities took a massive leap forward, the opportunity was obvious. The same practical, problem-solving approach that drove traditional automation was now supercharged by large language models, intelligent document processing, and conversational AI.
Today, AppMate builds intelligent systems that go far beyond simple automations — AI-powered workflows, the OpenClaw agent platform, high-performance Rails + Falcon applications, and the legacy automation challenges that many consultancies overlook.

My Philosophy
I believe in practical AI that solves real problems. Not every business need requires a complex AI pipeline, and not every automation needs a language model. I choose the right tool for the job, and when AI is the right choice, I make sure it works reliably in production — not just in a demo.

Fiber-Based Concurrency
Falcon's fiber-based concurrency model provides lightweight, cooperative concurrency — perfect for I/O-heavy workloads like streaming AI responses and handling many simultaneous connections without the complexity of threads.
SQLite for Simplicity
For the right applications, SQLite eliminates an entire class of deployment complexity. No database server, no connection pools, no separate backup process. Rails 8's enhanced SQLite support makes it a genuine production choice.
Streaming AI Responses
Using RubyLLM with Falcon's fibers, I stream AI responses token-by-token to the browser. Users see results in real time rather than waiting for a complete response. Combined with Hotwire, the experience feels instant.
